What's Happened This Year?

Has this year brought change in your life?  Do you have a new job or addition to the family?  Possibly a marriage or a child started school or have you lost a loved one?  

 

When life happens, whether it's good or not so good, our focus goes in a different direction.  Soon projects at work are not being completed or maybe we are dining out more as the kitchen has become out of control.

Your Dream Home

 

Moving does not have to be difficult.  Write all the tasks related to your move on your "To Do List".  This would include interviewing moving companies, getting the home staged for selling, parting with things no longer wanted, floor plans for furniture placement in new home, work needed at new home before the move, cleaning at both places, changing utilities and mail, and other specific needs for your family.  Then create a binder with tabs for each category and use your "List" in the front as an index.  When moving yourself start the process four to six weeks before the move date.

Starting your day the right way all depends on how easy and pleasant it is to dress and head out the door.  Not every "new" closet project needs to start from scratch. 

Originally this closet had an obtrusive full length tailor's mirror attached to the island when you first entered.  As I reworked the "bones" of the space that was the first thing to go.  Then we added

 hanging on the back wall under the windows and a glass front cabinet between the windows.  So the designer handbag collection could be easily seen, accessed and enjoyed we changed the solid doors to matching glass front doors.  The top of the island was replaced with a stained Birch finish to match the adjoining Master Bath cabinetry.

Then our Get It Together LA! team organized the couture setting up zones for each category of garments.  Now dressing is as much fun as the day at the beach or evening on the town.

Tip for Keeping Up With the Billsmail
Make a spreadsheet with information of all the bills received each month.  Include the vendor's name, address, and contact information.  Also include your account number, the due date of the month, and how the payment is made.
This list will be helpful when traveling for extended periods so bills will not be past due.  Also when accounts need to be changed or creating a change of address will be a snap.  All information is now in one place.

The Family DIY Documentation Program is for the family that wants to be protected by an inventory without the expense of hiring our full service inventory division.  For a minimal cost you will be provided with a program for your computer and will receive four (4) hours of training to get you started.  This program is easy to use you just need a digital camera and some time.
