Microsoft Security Patches - "Patch Tuesday"
Microsoft's February "Patch Tuesday" was last week and included 12 security bulletins, patching 22 vulnerabilities including three that could be exploited as zero-day attacks.

One of the bugs is a CSS-related vulnerability that affects all versions of Internet Explorer.  In early January, security firms reported that hackers were already exploiting the bug, so this is an urgent fix, flagged as critical.

It's extremely important for your business to stay up to date with security patches.  If you're not already aware, the new MA Data Security Law REQUIRES that all systems that contain personal information on any Massachusetts resident MUST have up to date security patches - you're in violation of this law if you're not up to date!

For more information on security updates, check out our December newsletter which explains the process in more detail.  For specific information from Microsoft regarding the February updates, check out the Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for February 2011
