Things Just Got a Little Greener at DLS!
Turning waste into energy; that's a goal we have had for a long time at DLS. Now, starting with our Atlanta facility, we are pleased to announce that we have a new program whereby all of our material waste, including hard to recycle matrix material, is being converted into "power pellets." These pellets have a higher BTU output than coal & gas, and are being used to run manufacturing furnaces at a major corrugated papermaking company in the Southeast.
This new program creates a high level of sustainability for us and allows us to make the world a little better for everyone. We hope to replicate this process at our other facilities in the near future. A New, Shorter, DLS Domain Name!
Diversified has always prided itself on being "team" oriented. It is so much a part of our company spirit that we even have it in our domain name. We are very pleased to announce that we have been able to secure a shorter version of our domain and will be changing from www.teamdlsolutions.com to www.teamdls.com in the very near future. The old website and emails will still function for the time being. We, of course, will announce this once completed, but just in case you see something from www.teamdls.com that's still us, just shorter!

Industry Update
Labels
After a series of label material cost increases in 2010 and the first half of 2011, prices have
finally settled down. While no one knows for sure
what 2012 will bring, we
do know that the raw material converters are
all quiet right now about
any increase in Q1 and possibly Q2. We believe they would like to
increase costs, but the market has been soft,
and with the low demand,
it has brought some
pricing stability.
Besides paper, other
factors that have been driving the increases such as adhesives, coatings
and oil have all stabilized
as well. So, we anticipate that the first half of 2012
will be a quiet one on the cost front.
Ribbons
In regards to ribbons, the scare we all had with PET film availability last fall
has subsided. Ribbon
prices look stable for the first half of 2012. As a matter of fact, we are now re-introducing ribbon prices back into our catalog to make it easier and faster
for you to quote ribbons
to your clients.
Plus, we have seen some spot buys which has allowed us to run the
current Zebra Ribbon Special announced in this
issue of the newsletter.
