Greetings!
The Week 3 session of Advertising on a Small Budget happens very soon today, unveiling the secrets of digital advertising on Google, Facebook, and local online news sources. Looking forward, September is our anniversary month, and we're rolling out activities all month to celebrate. Let us know if you have ideas for us!
OfficeXpats celebrates September as YEAR ONE DONE!
Friday, September 28 is the date for the big party, to celebrate that we made it through the fragile first year that faces every new venture. Everyone is invited, and members will be featured in as many ways as we can come up with. But good stuff will be happening all month. Here's a start:
- A new art exhibit for OfficeXpats will be based on photography from attendees of our July workshops, curated by Steve Wilson! This is one of many ways we are learning to discover and celebrate local talent.
- September "Tuesdays @noon" workshops will explore entrepreneurship as a way to express passion, find purpose, and influence change.
- Part I of the big party on September 28 will feature a marketplace of local innovation, for members' businesses or ideas and organizations that were "born" here, such as Ignite Bainbridge.

Steve Wilson to curate the next OfficeXpats art exhibit
By early September there will be a new photo exhibit gracing the walls of our community workspace. Steve Wilson is selecting photos taken by attendees of the July "Tuesdays @noon" Photography workshops! As per Steve, the difference between a professional photographer and an enthusiast is that a professional dependably delivers high quality work, but enthusiasts also create beautiful, meaningful photos that usually don't get proper recognition. Steve is patiently sifting through our piles of favorites to find those that rise high above. Learn more and follow updates on this exhibit here.

"Tuesdays @noon" workshops for September

In honor of our members during OfficeXpat's anniversary month, we are celebrating Entrepreneurship as a way to express passion, find purpose, and influence change. This series of workshops can take you beyond "just" self-employment by developing a vision of what you want your impact on the world to be. Four leadership and career coaches each take a session to offer their own unique process and tools for stepping towards this transformation. Come to any or all four workshops and pick up some inspiration for your next big thing! When: September 4, 11, 18, 25, 12-1pm. $10/session, no charge to OfficeXpats members ( membership starts at $15/month, 3-month minimum, learn more about benefits of membership). |

WSTA Picnic with SMB Nation and PSSBS
 This Thursday, August 23rd, 4-8pm, the West Sound Technology Association's annual picnic will be held at the Bainbridge waterfront estate home of SMB Nation founder Harry Brelsford (SMB Nation is a publishing and events company for the small and medium business channel partner/ reseller/consulting community). Meet and mingle with WSTA members, technology users, and Seattle's SBS Users Group. The event is FREE, but registration is required. Invite your colleagues, clients, and family! Or just tell Leslie and Jason you want to hitch a ride with them.
