VillageSpeak spotlights "The Changing Face of Bainbridge Families"
June 4, 6:30-9:30pm: Five Bainbridge Island professionals discuss what they've seen happening with family demographics and family values on our Island over the past several decades. They will consider critical, village-making questions: Do we, as a town, need to get more deeply involved in supporting diverse, special needs, and transitioning families in order to strengthen our Island? Fresh on everyone's minds is the Ostling trial, and it's sure to come up in the conversation.
Village Speak is a new, nonpartisan Bainbridge Island forum, inspired by CityClub Seattle and Portland, that cultivates village-making through listening, learning, and engaging in smart conversation. |

Have you published a book? Is publishing one of your goals? Join the growing list of OfficeXpats members who are building their business and creating new revenue with the many options for self-pubishing.
Tuesdays at noon in June: In this workshop series, we explore why small businesses would want to use self-publishing services and navigate some of the choices and issues facing novice publishers.
June 5, Session I: Are you in it for revenue, marketing, or career building? Compare e-books, POD (print on demand), and standard offset printing. Hear in-person case studies of local independent professionals who have successfully published to build revenue and promote their businesses, including Dave Kragen, Kathleen Alcala, and Izzy Sanchez.

New Café Membership is Hourly!
Our best ideas come from members. As proposed at the first member meeting a couple weeks ago, you may now get a flexible coworker membership of either 10 or 20 hours to spend as you like throughout the month.
- Café 10 is $45/month; Café 20 is $85/month.
- Please sign in and out with your time
- As with the Passport membership, private meetings rooms may be reserved for an additional $25/hour (or, you can grab an empty room with no reservation at no extra charge).
