Greetings!
The Social Media for Business series continues today (and every Tuesday this month) at noon, and The Best Of TED Talks inspires again on Friday mornings at 9:15. Did you see the article in Inside Bainbridge on Ignite? Pretty exciting! But something else is quietly picking up momentum as a weekly coworker ritual, and here's a quick report.
 You wouldn't think that a Monday morning check-in for public accountability on some goals would have any "rock your world" potential, but consider this... One of our members accomplished a goal in her first week of checking in that had been on her list for over a year! She figured out how to publish her book for Kindle. An accomplishment like that could make a difference!
Our process is evolving. We are getting more efficient and time conscious so that we can be done in 30 minutes. And the way we are recording goals has suddenly become very much like Kanban. I don't know if there is any Kanban board in the world quite like ours, with completely unrelated jobs and workstreams, but it sure is fun to take that little sticky and move it over into the "Done" column! It is triggering us to debate how we choose our goals and the max number of goals we should put on our "Doing" column. Good stuff!

"Life in the iCloud" Friday, May 11th at 1pm
It seems all anyone is talking about these days is Cloud computing. Anyone using an Apple mobile device such as an iPad or iPhone may already have an iCloud account and just isn't sure what to do with it. We'll cover the basics, including setup, syncing, and the different features available to iCloud users. If time permits, we'll even take a look at some other popular cloud-based services such as Dropbox, Evernote, Google Services, and others. It's time for SPELL again! We will meet on Thursday, May 10, at 3:00. Bring writer friends, bring two or three pages to read out loud. Last month, five of us did some free writing and discussed our projects.
