Greetings!
Tuesday workshops on Social Media for Business begin today at noon. First Wednesday Networking (open to all) starts at 5:30pm on... yes, Wednesday, and the Africa Roundtable comes around again this first Friday (all are invited; see Events below). A reception for a special photo show of gardens from Bainbridge Island juxtaposed with amazing Mediterranean gardens opens for the First Friday Art Walk too. But it's BIG IDEAS that take the stage, literally, this month and we hope you'll join us to celebrate them.
Over 1,000 TED Talks of "ideas worth spreading" are available free online and have been viewed more than 500 million times. Just this April, TED.com won a Peabody Award. But how's a person to choose from all that high-powered creative thinking goodness? Laurel Wilson's got us covered. As a TEDx organizer, she has combed through many of these 18-minute wonders and has chosen an elite few for us to watch together on Friday mornings in May from 9:15-10am. Less than an hour of intellectual indulgence to watch a couple of videos with some time for discussion. Here are her selections, and we'd love to know you are coming!

Photo Exhibit: Best Gardens of Bainbridge and the Mediterranean Basin
Videographer and garden photographer Terry Moyemont opens an exhibition upstairs in the Pavilion on Friday, May 4, for the First Friday Art Walk, with a reception at OfficeXpats starting at 6pm. His photographs of gardens cover both the best of Bainbridge and of the Mediterranean Basin . Get a sneak peek at some of these photos here.
This show is a kick-off for a documentary project which Moyemont is funding through USA Projects. His documentary spotlights the Exotic Gardens of Will Gilles in Norwich, England. Mr. Gilles visited Bainbridge for several weeks in 2008, lecturing and touring local gardens. |

This movement class is made for anyone who uses computers, sits during the day, loves their Smartphone, can't go anywhere without their iPad, or drives a car. Our bodies were not made to live in the forward-oriented world we've created for ourselves.
Learn exercises and stretches you can do at your desk or in your car. Explore new postures while you learn to use your favorite tech toys in a kinetically healthier way.
