Bainbridge Island at work... together!                                                             March 27, 2012

Greetings!

REALLY BIG thank you's are due the coworkers who have contributed lately to so many aspects of our business.

Notice anything different about our logo? We have Alex Sanso to thank for some significant tweaks on our branding, and you'll even see it on new signs outside the front door of the office.Tobias Eigen and Brian Creamer have contributed ongoing feedback for our new web site. Ann Whitmore and Dave Kragen have filled in for us during times we've both had to be away (and will again for a few days next week). And Eric Fredricks is helping us acquire some salvaged materials that we hope will add to the interior look and function of the office. We are so grateful for the support of our wonderful members!

Last Call for Ignite Bainbridge Speakers!

We had a huge turnout for the March Ignite Bainbridge learning group, and most attendees are planning to sign up as speakers for the May 16 performance in a Pavilion Cinema theater. The deadline for submitting an outline for your talk is April 2, so if you haven't already, please go to IgniteBainbridge.com and tell us how you hope to enlighten us.

We also need your help with putting on the show itself, and with getting the word out so that we can have a BIG audience for our celebration of big ideas. Please volunteer!

Africa Roundtable Features Kabissa on April 6

The Africa Roundtable is an initiative of Kabissa to organize lunch meetings on the first Friday of every month to bring together people with a mutual interest in Africa for networking, featured speakers, peer learning and mutual support.

This month Kabissa itself will be the featured topic at the roundtable, with founder Tobias Eigen giving an overview to the networking and information sharing features of the Kabissa online platform for African civil society. He will also explain how Kabissa came to be an organization based on Bainbridge Island but run by volunteers around the world. Register now!
