Greetings!
A few weeks ago we were celebrating the new look and feel of the OfficeXpats web site, even though on closer scrutiny there were still some "coming soon" placeholders. We are happy to now unveil the ONLINE MEMBER PROFILES!
All memberships, from Passport to Resident, get an OfficeXpats member ID that--in addition to letting you reserve meeting rooms online--also allows you to create a member profile with a photo link that shows up on the home page. Please upload your photo as described by Jason's instructions so that we can show you off!
We will also use the online information to update the scrolling profiles on the TV monitors, both in our reception room and downstairs in the Pavilion atrium near theater ticketing. It has been fun to observe people standing around watching the downstairs TV with great concentration! We know that it has generated leads for some of our members' businesses to date, and we are excited to now extend this benefit to Passport members as well.
With the new Passport membership offering, it's a good time to review what being an Xpat means. Take a peek below at other member benefits, and we will continue to highlight more in the weeks to come. |

Accelerated Serendipity
I.e., "how to create your own luck in business." We have weekly members-only events that promote connections and collaboration, and magic happens when one member states a goal and another says "I've got a resource that might help with that."
- Mondays, 9:30 am: Coworker check-in: Meet briefly with other coworkers and lay out your goals for the week to get the motivation of some public accountability! Celebrate your accomplishments from the previous week. 3-5 minutes per person. We are also experiementing with using Google+ and Skype to bring members in remotely, so watch the Facebook members page for the opportunity to join in.
- Thursdays, 4:30-5:30 pm: Members' happy hour: no agenda, just enjoy a drink or nibbles and introduce yourself to other coworkers or catch up with colleagues.
Workshops and Meetups: We also have community events that are open to the public and may have a fee, but not for members! Any event or workshop that is hosted and sponsored by OfficeXpats is free to members. Non-members may be charged an attendance fee. And, if you would like to create a meetup or workshop around a topic you are passionate about, talk to us! We can help make it happen.
All members are welcome to drop in for these events, no need to pay-as-you-go, no need to use a daily visit. |

 Expanded hours for free tech support
Our IT Guy offers free PC tech support for members, and has expanded his availability to ALL MORNING on Tuesdays! Bring your laptop and your questions. You may get advice, a quick fix, or a blank stare, but we have some pretty pleased members who have taken advantage of his extensive PC, Microsoft Exchange, and network management experience as IT manager for various small businesses over the years. You can ask about software, hardware, or networking issues. And of course tech support for any issue related to the services we provide, such as Wi-Fi or videoconferencing, is available ANYTIME. |

OfficeXpats is located upstairs in the Pavilion on Madison, just a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal, through beautiful downtown Winslow. We hope to help you in your quest for 'new ways to work.'
