Opening Day is TODAY, Aug. 22

Today is the big day. We are now open M-F, 8:30-5:30. After working our tails off, we are very happy with the look and feel. A big thanks to Eric Fredricks for managing the tenant improvements and suggesting brilliant solutions, and we have Ann Wilson to thank for the lucious wall colors and warm interior decoration.
Don't take our word for it... come see for yourself and try out coworking for free until Sept. 1. A few projects are still ongoing, but there is plenty of 'ready' space. Just drop by, sign in, and enjoy free wifi, coffee, and tea. Reserve conference rooms and invite guests. Print or scan, or try out the Skype videoconferencing. It will be a trial period for us, of course, so it will help us prepare for 'show time' if you show up and test us out. We look forward to the challenge!
And please help us spread the word by this newseltter to people you know who work from home but would like a little more community--to help them focus or to grow their business. |

Green Drinks at OfficeXpats is Friday
Friday, August 26th at 6:30 our doors will open to the sustainability networking group Bainbridge Green Drinks. Anyone can come, and it's free! We are pretty sure that all four restaurants in the Pavilion (Subi, Casa Rojas, Spice Route, and Local Harvest) will donate appetizers. We can personally vouch for their yumminess, and they are also able to provide goodies for your next meeting at OfficeXpats. So come by on Friday night to see what they have to offer.
Being an independent worker and avoiding long commutes is green already, but if you have a business that promotes a sustainability practice or product, you definitely want to get to know the folks who attend Green Drinks! "Is there still a gym at the Pavilion?" Why yes, there is. Right across the hall, with locker rooms and showers. So how cool would it be if there was a sweet gym offer for OfficeXpats members? Take a break from work, and two minutes later you are working out!

How many days each month would you use OfficeXpats? A 'day' might be eight hours or more* of getting work done in a productive, professional, and socially supportive environment. Or using a reserved conference room to host 6 people for a 2-hr meeting. Or both! You could even invite additional meeting attendees to join by Skype videoconference. Don't forget, we're exploring 'new ways to work'.

Who We Are |
OfficeXpats on Bainbridge Island is a response to the growing need for a solution beyond working at the corporate office or working from home.
Coworking is about making the personal choice to work alongside other people instead of in isolation. We offer a shared office environment that meets the conferencing and community needs of remote workers, independent consultants, and entrepreneurs.
OfficeXpats is located in the Pavilion on Madison, just a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal. We hope to help you in your quest for 'new ways to work.'
