Sting and his wife Trudie Styler bought the beautiful 15th-century Tenuta il Palagio estate south of Florence a decade ago and now uses his farmland for organic and biodynamic grapes as well as honey, olive oil, vegetables and meat products.

 "More than a decade ago, Trudie Styler and Sting founded Il Palagio, a sixteenth-century Tuscan villa with olive groves and vineyards just waiting to be restored to their former glory. Careful nurturing of the vines over the last 10 years has yielded grapes of exceptional quality. "Casino delle Vie", a 19th century farmhouse on the estate, gives its name to this wine, and reminds us that when all is confusion and chaos, when life feels turned upside down, a glass of fine Chianti can sometimes set the world to rights again.With its impressive 13,5%, this Chianti announces right from the start that it will pull no punches. On the nose, the first impression hints towards pepper, herbs and even mint. On the palate, this wine shows a nice level of dryness and thereby skillfully avoids the pitfall of overbearing fruitiness. In the finish, look for watermelon and raspberries.
