 Emergency Preparedness

Weather radios are "smoke detectors for danger".  A NOAA Weather Radio with an alarm and battery back-up is one of the best ways to protect your family, especially at night when the alarm feature can wake you up during severe weather and give you and your family time to seek appropriate shelter.  If there is no severe weather or emergency, your radio can be switched to a silent, stand-by mode.

On May 15th, the Channel 6 Weather Team will be at the Walgreen's in Grafton from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to help people purchase, program, and buy new batteries for their weather radio's.

 Rummage Sales

yard sale

The Village has an Ordinance regarding rummage/garage sale, real estate, directional, or informational signs.   Such signs must comply with traffic visibility requirements and are not permitted in Village parks or median areas.  Improperly placed signs will be confiscated.  Signs shall be erected no more than 24 hours before a rummage sale and taken down no later than 24 hours after.  For more information, contact Village Hall.

CompostThe Village Compost Drop-off Site is open Saturdays Only, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Curbside Branch Chipping runs every Monday, time and weather permitting.

   - Branches must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. on Mondays.

   - NO CHIPPING during holiday weeks:  Memorial Day, July 4th & Labor Day.

Residents can pick-up woodchips, collected from curbside chipping, at the DPW yard.  You will need to bring a container and pitch fork or shovel to containerize your own chips.  The Village will deliver woodchips, however you must accept a full truck load (3-5 yards).  We will not come back to pick up any unused woodchips.
