The I43 overpass work is underway. They will be driving piles for the extended center piers starting this week. There is also work being done along I43 to the north to accommodate lane changes for the STH 57 and railroad crossing bridge re-decking. Motorists are cautioned that the speed limit along this section of I43 is temporarily reduced to 55 mph for the duration of the construction. Because it is a work zone, fines will double and the State Patrol is placing additional emphasis on patrolling this section.
Questions about the I43 project can be directed to the field office at 262-268-0059.
Crews continue to remove pavement in the Saukville section of the STH 33 project. Storm sewer crews will be working as well. The work plan calls for curbing work to begin in mid-April. The current lane configurations will remain in place until that time. With the increased construction traffic, motorists are again cautioned to watch for flagmen, dump trucks, and heavy equipment leaving and entering the work zone.
Questions/Concerns should be directed to Wis DOT Field Representative Paul Piccione, 262-235-4000.
Due to the time of year and potential for wet spring weather, schedules are subject to change. |

| Hydrant Flushing | The Saukville Water Department will be flushing hydrants throughout the Village weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. April 9th through April 20th. There may be some discoloration in your water during this process. This is iron and is not harmful. We recommend that you do not do laundry if your water is discolored. Running the tap for a short period of time will clear the lines after the flushing in your area is completed. Please be aware of workers and equipment in the roadway and slow down when traveling around them. |
