Christmas Tree1
Christmas trees will be chipped curbside by the Public Works Department on Monday, January 9th and Monday, January 16th only.  Please note the following requirements:  Remove all decorations, wires, tinsel, hardware, lights, and stands from tree; no cloth, paper, or plastic cover bags.  Place tree curbside no sooner than 24 hours prior to chipping day and not later than 7:00 a.m. that Monday morning.  The chipper will make only one pass per street side per chipping event.  Disposal of trees prior to or after the scheduled chipping dates will be the homeowner's responsibility.  Christmas trees only - no branches or brush.  Do not put trees out for regular trash pick-up. Veolia will not take them.
Sewer Rate increase effective Jan. 1, 2012

A Sewer Rate increase will take effect January 1, 2012.  Residents will see the rate increase on the first quarter billing in April.  The cost to the average household will be approximately an additional $52 per year.  The increase is necessary to cover unavoidable costs for overhead operations, rising fuel and electricity fees, loss of income due to stymied economic growth, repairs to the aging system and equipment, and environmental regulatory requirements.  The Water/Wastewater Utilities will continue to strive to keep delivery costs to a minimum without sacrificing quality of service.
