Both interstate ramps that were previously closed are open and will continue to be open through the duration of the project. The contractor will continue to work on the storm sewer lines from Port Washington State Bank to Northwoods Road.
It is tentatively planned to move traffic to the new lanes on the south side from Northwoods Road to Port Washington the week of October 3.
To reduce frustration with traffic backups, pre-plan your travel through the area. Do your shopping in the evening when traffic volumes are down. Use CTH W and Mink Ranch Road or CTH W to Sauk Road to drive to Port Washington. If you are traveling north on I43 to go to Saukville, take exit 93 ( Hwy. 32/CTH V), go south and turn right onto
CTH W and go north.
Paving of N. Mill Street from Dekora Street to the north end of the Village was completed on Tuesday, Sept. 27th. Motorists now have a new road surface for smooth, safe travel.
As always, please slow down and watch for construction equipment and personnel when driving through the project limits. Proceed with extreme caution. The contractor and WisDOT are making every effort to ensure a timely schedule.
