STH 33 Reconstruction Project

On Friday, July 15th, traffic will be switched to the temporary road on the north side. There will be a crossover west of Market Street.  Lanes will be reduced from 4 to 2 and then switched back at the former south bound CTH LL ramp.

CautionThe temporary signals at Foster Drive and the I43 ramps should become operational the week of July 18, after which storm sewer work in the median is planned to begin.  Lane closures will remain after construction of the storm sewer to facilitate the widening of the highway, one half at a time. Traffic will initially be shifted to the north.  These lanes will remain closed during the evening and weekend hours as well.

As always, please slow down and watch for construction equipment and personnel when driving through the project limits.  Proceed with extreme caution.

Curbside Chipping

The Village is asking for your assistance.  Please do not park in front of brush piles placed in the terrace/blvd for curbside chipping.  The Department of Public Works has been experiencing an increase in this activity throughout the Village.   The DPW will not chip the piles that are obstructed, due to safety & liability concerns.

 Family Disaster Plan

BE PREPARED ... Families should be prepared for all hazards that could affect their area. Disaster Kit

The National Weather Service and Wisconsin Emergency Management urge every family to develop a family disaster plan.

Where will your family be when disaster strikes?  They could be anywhere - at work, at school, or in the car.  How will you find each other?  Will you know if your children are safe?  Disaster may force you to evacuate your neighborhood or confine you to your home.  What would you do if basic services - water, gas, electricity, or telephone - were cut off?

Put together a family disaster plan that answers those questions - and practice it.
