FOUNDATION WILL RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING SCHOOL STAFF, VOLUNTEERS AND BUSINESS PARTNERS

On Wednesday, May 9th, the Oregon Trail Education Foundation will honor individuals and organizations that have shown outstanding commitment to the success of students. A dessert event will be held at Good Shepherd Church in Boring at 7:00 p.m.

 

School staff, volunteers and community partners have been nominated by students, colleagues and patrons for their efforts to provide exceptional educational opportunities.

 

The public is welcome to attend the event.

Principal for a Day
 
On April 18th, local business and community leaders shadowed our school principals and learned what it takes to manage a public school. They observed instruction in the classrooms, met with staff and students, and even monitored recess activities.

 

The annual Principal for a Day event is sponsored by the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce Career Education Committee.

 

"Principals" included:

First Friday event will highlight SHS artists

   

Check out the creative works of our award winning Sandy High students!

 

On May 4th - First Friday - from 5:00-8:00 p.m., the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a reception for Sandy High art students.

 

Art work will be displayed in the Chamber office at 38963 Pioneer in Sandy.

 

Please stop by to see the creative accomplishments of our outstanding young artists!

Sandy High teachers would like to invite community members to share their expertise and resources with students. Visit the SHS website to find out how you can help make learning more relevant and bridge the gap between class and career. Teachers have completed profiles that describe what they teach, and what some of their specific classroom needs are.
