ALH System-One: More Than Just a Tapping Machine

System OneWhat do Bo Jackson, Deon Sanders, Danny Ainge, and Willie Gault have in common? They were all considered amongst the greatest multi-sport pro athletes of all time. These individuals were gifted with tremendous physical versatility that allowed them to excel at the highest athletic level in more than one sport.  The term "utility player" in baseball refers to a versatile player who can play several different positions. The ALH System-One sold by PLCS for over 20 years has proven to be the "utility player" in the gas distribution industry. Few realize how versatile the machine really is. The ALH System-One not only drills and taps with ease but the Control Valve provides the multifaceted platform to perform all these all these operations Gas-Free*:

- Bagging off

- Installation and extraction of many styles of tees and plugs

- By-pass set-up

- Camera entry

- Sight Glass Inspection

- Mains purge

Bagging Off & By-Pass Shown

The Gas-Free* ALH System-One ¾ "to 2½" tapping equipment is an extremely compact, lightweight package for use on mains up to 60 psig. It includes interchangeable components to operate on cast iron, steel and PE (under development) mains. It requires no throttling procedures or expensive fittings to purchase. The slide Control Valve is fastened to the main and all operations are carried out through this valve to prevent gas escapes. All attachments lock into a recess on the Control Valve to ensure automatic alignment. To prevent accidental drilling of the valve slide plate the drill shaft is held in an internal lock square while in the raised position. High speed precision holesaws and Skip-Tooth taps make drilling and tapping easy, fast and accurate. There are stops on the tap head to prevent over-tapping and thus a perfect taper thread, without measurement, to ensure a leak-free seal.

System One Tee Insert

The Fitting Canopy provides a gas-free* method of insertion and removal of tees and plugs. The Bagging-Off system makes for quick and positive cylindrical bag placement without requiring a flash suit or personal air supply. The ALH System-One complete platform will not turn you into Neon Deon but now you know that the machine can do much more than just drill and tap.

Is Customer Service Dying?

PLCS Says No!

phoneExperts agree that customer service is one of the greatest keys to business success. A company's entire livelihood including marketing, sales and profits depend on it. Without customers a business simply cannot exist. So if customer service is that vitally important, why are so many companies relying on complex million-dollar computerized automated phone systems to handle customer inquiries?

Many of these systems make it entirely too difficult for a customer to actually talk to a live, knowledgeable person. Just think of how many times we were forced to listen to over 9 different phone prompts before getting to the right department. Even if we finally get a live person we are then placed on hold. When we email a company with a question it may take days to get a response. It seems many of us have simply given up and choose not leave even a voice mail because we assume it will not be returned promptly. We are left wondering if there is anyone on the other end to receive it.  I am not saying that this is the case for everyone, but we all have experienced these things and it is frustrating. Whatever happened to just picking up the phone? Is it really that expensive to train someone to say hello? It seems even the phone companies cannot answer their own phones.

DenisePLCS has been selling to the gas distribution business for over 30 years and we believe much of our success is attributed to customer service. We refuse to automate our phone system because we know that customers want to speak with a real live person during business hours. When you call us for whatever reason, from the job site or from the office, all PLCS employees including the President will pick up the phone within three rings and direct you to the most knowledgeable person who canDeanna answer your inquiry right away. We know that in the gas distribution industry emergencies can happen every day and you need immediate answers without wasting time going through an automated system. PLCS prides itself on responding quickly. If you need to place an order, have a question, or even a complaint, we invite you to simply call us. Denise and Deanna are usually your first contact, their helpfulness and personalities will brighten your day.
