Nancy's Thank You on International Women's Day

Thank You, I'm very humbled.

I was asked why I support International Women's Day. For me the answer is easy.....

I support this day because it recognizes all the silent heroines who walk amongst us.

It's the silent heroines who work every day to make the lives of those around them a better place.

We all know these women.

·         The woman who works 60 hours a week - raises her children - and still finds time to volunteer to help others

·         The woman who worked all day and stayed up all night with her sick child - and got back to work in the morning

·         The woman who is - or has - served our country in the armed forces

·         The woman who has worked hard to "break the glass ceiling"

·         The woman who consoles a friend in need

·         The woman who has found the courage to leave an abusive relationship and start anew

·         The woman who has been out of work and has decided to open her own business

·         The woman who battles health issues and never complains

·         The woman who helps a co-worker meet a deadline

·         The woman who stood her ground - asked for a raise - and got it!

To all the Silent Heroines who have touched my life - I am blessed and grateful.

And yes - it is for all the Silent Heroines in our lives that I support International Woman's Day.

With me tonight is one silent heroine.

A women who ran her own business, raised her children and became my number one supporter when I arrived at her doorstep and simply said "mom, have I got a story for you".

My mom - Jo Salamone - helped me through my darkest days. You stand by me and you give me strength.

I am proud to be your daughter. I love you very much Mom.

And to all the women amongst us who continue to endure domestic violence, my hope is that one day, they too overcome their own struggles so that they can have the happy, independent life that they choose and ... and, that they deserve.

I want to thank Dr. Paula Fellingham, Lauralee Christensen, and Women's International Network for this award.

And, I want to say a special thank you to Jennifer Wilcov who is such a champion of my work and The Business of Me.

And, thank you all. I am deeply honored.

Affirmation for the Month of March
Positive Affirmation
I AM Accomplished!

         I AM Accomplished!

My wonderful friend the Rev. Dr.  Janet Knox who is a champion of  The Business of Me wrote this affirmation for us.  I offer this affirmation to you with love and blessings.....And yes we are all ACCOMPLISHED!

"There is action in knowing that a movement has taken place whether we see the physical or not.  There is an energy that moves me along when I live The Business of Me.  Its action opens me to the appreciation of who and what I am.  I live and I move in it."

"I AM accomplished."

Rev. Dr. Janet Knox has been a Spiritual Practitioner since 1991.  She holds a Master's Degree in Spiritual Science and Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Conscious Health and Healing.  She was ordained through the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness in 2000.  She received her DSS (Doctorate of Spiritual Science) in June of 2007.

Shopping Tip for March
 EcoMom.com

Ecomom (www.ecomom.com) has just re-launched and the new site is wonderful. Their selection of products, curated for safety, ingredient, quality and price is growing really fast.

As many of you know I am not a mom but I am a proud "honorary grandma" to Lucas my partner's 19 month old grandson who is one of the delights of my life.

If you are a mom, grandparent or even an "honorary grandparent" like me. this is a site you will love too and here's why.

EcoMom (www.ecomom.com)  is a curated commerce site serving mom in all 3 of her roles -- as the person most responsible for taking care of her young family, as the "Chief Purchasing Officer" in her home, and as a woman with personal needs and interests.

Using Ecomom's proprietary criteria, they evaluate products first for safety -- making sure that there are no harmful ingredients of any kind.

EcoMom then puts these products to use because their team is largely comprised of people just like their customers and they want to make sure that everything they offer works well and is effective.

EcoMom also looks at price, which is often a major consideration when shopping. They want to make sure that the products offered are priced fairly and competitively.

Everything offered is authentically good and safe to put in, on, and around your family.

EcoMom has an exceptional customer experience and are laser focused on providing great customer service. In addition to products, they offer information on a variety of topics related to healthy living and healthy lifestyles for you and your family.

EcoMom has a growing selection of products and all orders over $50 come with free shipping.

Finally, I love EcoMom because it is easy on my eyes. The site does not bombard you with a kaleidoscope of flashing images. You can easily see the products and effortlessly navigate the site quickly to find what you want - a big plus for those of us who may be "young at heart" but do not have "young eyes".

I enjoy being part of the EcoMom community and I know you will too!
