Malachi 3:10-11 (NIV)
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11 I will PREVENT pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. |
| Thought 4 Today |
It is better to have God as your divine Preventer than your divine Deliverer. To have God as your Deliverer means that you are in some kind of trouble and God acts to get you through it or out of it. To have God as your Preventer means that He keeps the trouble from happening in the first place. So, of course, it is better to have God step in and keep bad things from happening. People are always looking for the benefits of tithing to manifest in their lives. I don't blame them. God invites us to do that. But sometimes the blessing of God manifests itself in curses missed! God promises those who tithe that He will act as their Preventer. And, it is not the money or dollar amount that causes God to prevent the manifestation of bad things in our lives. It is the faith and the obedience in the act of tithing that moves the hand of God on our behalf. God always honors faith and obedience! Let's be honest. There is very little that matters more to people than their money. God knows that the giving of money is the giving of what we need, and, many times, desire the most in life. That's why He has special blessings promised to those who give. One of those blessings is that God will be your Preventer! |
| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
