Scripture 4 Today

Galatians 5:22 NIV

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness..."

Thought  4 Today

Patience is a part of God's nature and character that is imparted into your nature and character by the Holy Spirit. There is a natural human patience just like there is a natural human love and a natural human joy, but the patience spoken of here in the Scripture is not human, but divine! It is a spiritual quality. As such it is not at all negative but is very positive. It is not sitting around waiting in boredom for God to do something. That's human patience, not God's.

This patience is internal and you know when you have it and you know when you don't! This internal attribute, when it has control over you, keeps you in the Presence of God. Impatience drives you from God's Presence because it is not harmonious with God's Presence. God's patience brings calmness and peace, and keeps us from making mistakes and having accidents. It enjoys God's Presence while waiting for a promise to be fulfilled. This patience is the opposite of a "hurry" spirit. If you are always in a rush or operating in a "hurry" spirit, I am happy to announce that there is something better for you, and that is God's patience imparted into your human nature by the Holy Spirit. When you have it you will be astounded at yourself and at how good you feel.

Everything God has to give us tastes delicious! Even His patience!

A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord

JesusRomans 10:9 NLT:  "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

PRAYER:  "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior.  I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead.  This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life!  Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love.  Jesus, you are the Son of God!  From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me.  I surrender myself to God.  I am now Yours.  Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart.  Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home.  I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me!  Amen."
