| Thought 4 Today |
Personal: Happy Birthday to
my oldest son, Bob Jr. He is 31 today and is an awesome man. I love you and am
so proud of you! This is one of those
Scriptures that is seldom, if ever, talked about. When a person is walking in
love and righteousness, and doing God's will, to the best of their knowledge
and ability, God promises to pay back trouble to those people and individuals who
cause you trouble. This is why God say, "Vengeance is mine. I will repay!" We
are forbidden to have a, "pay back" spirit. We are forbidden to have a, "I'll
get even with you" spirit. When we try to get even with those who have hurt us
or done us wrong, we are taking on the role that God has reserved for Himself.
He, and He alone is the One to pay back trouble to those who trouble you. Now let's turn this around a
bit and look at it from another angle. What happens if we are the one causing
the trouble? Then, unfortunately, we have placed ourselves in a position
whereby we will receive trouble. Being ugly towards people and being a trouble
maker, is not worth the price! There are distresses in
certain people's lives that are repayments for the distress that that person
has caused someone else. Walk in love. Treat everyone
right. Do what God has told you to do, and God's got your back! Someone may
cause you a lot of distress and affliction but leave it alone. Keep a good,
clean heart, and right attitude, and God will pay them back for what they have
done to you. And, don't rejoice that they are being paid back. That's not of
God either. "Father, forgive them, for
they know not what they do."

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
