| Thought 4 Today |
I don't know if
you've ever felt humiliated. I hope you haven't, but if you have I hope it was
just a once or twice thing in your life. I have felt humiliated many many
times. I think that anyone who is a leader, or who speaks or performs in front
of people runs the risk of suffering more humiliation. Those who do their thing in
an office or cubical may be somewhat protected. To experience humiliation
means that a person feels disgrace, shame, embarrassment, dishonor, or
degradation. Can you imagine that David, the great man of God; the one who was
a man after God's own heart; the musician, the praiser, the worship leader, the king, the author of Holy Scripture, the one who used his faith to defeat
Goliath; this man, David, experienced humiliations, plural? Do you know why Jesus turned
water into wine at the wedding in Cana of Galilee? It was to save the bride and
groom, and the master of ceremonies from humiliation! It would have been very
embarrassing to run out of wine at the wedding. So, at His mother's request,
one of Jesus' first miracles was to save some people from being humiliated. You have endured humiliations, and God not only knows about
each of them, but He has marked down your endurance. But greater still is to
call on Jesus, to save us from shame and humiliation! If He did it for those at
Cana of Galilee, He will do it for you!

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
