Psalm 130:3-4 Amplified Bible
"If You, Lord, should keep
account of and treat [us according to our] sins, O Lord, who could stand? But
there is forgiveness with You [just what man needs], that You may be reverently
feared and worshiped."

| Thought 4 Today |
The word, "Gospel" means
Good News. Jesus is Good News for mankind. The fact that He forgives us our
sins is good news, so is the fact that He does not treat us according to our
sins. Many people feel that God is
punishing them for their sins and wrong doings. Nothing could be further from
the truth. Jesus was punished for our sins so that we would never be punished,
in this life or the next. The bad things that happen to us in this life are not
from God and are not expressions of God's anger. In fact, Jesus so absorbed the
wrath of God in His suffering and death on the cross, that God is not angry
with anyone in these days. More personally stated, because Jesus suffered death
for your wrongs, God is not angry with YOU and never will be! That too is good
news! Some churches, preachers,
and ministries beat people up and make people feel guilty all the time. If a
ministry is not preaching good news and lifting your spirits by making you feel
better, maybe it's time for a change! There is enough bad news in the world
without going to church and hearing more bad news! Remember, you can never grow
and progress beyond the level of teaching that you sit under. Thankfully, Jesus has no bad
news to give us. Everything about Him is good, even the news He brings!

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
