Scripture 4 Today

Psalm 128:2 NIV

"...blessings and prosperity will be yours."

Thought  4 Today

People who follow the Lord are blessed! The work of your hands is blessed! And, God promises you blessings (plural) and prosperity.  That's not a bad deal is it?

From Genesis to Revelation prosperity is promised to the obedient believer. Whoever says otherwise simply doesn't know the Bible. Why would anyone in their right mind, be against prosperity? That's like being against health. And how is the Gospel going to be preached around the world if Christians don't have the money to finance those endeavors? How is the Kingdom of God going to advance into every strata of society if Christian people are broke? How would we help the poor if we ourselves need help? It takes money to help the poor. How do we keep church doors open if God's people don't prosper?

The anti-prosperity movement is actually an anti-God movement because without prosperity the work of God would completely stop in the earth. Prosperity fuels the will of God in the world. For example, Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." Mark 16:15 NIV. How could this command be obeyed without Christian people having the money to buy airline tickets for missionaries? How would this be possible if Christians didn't have the money to support preachers and their families as they give their lives to the work of preaching and teaching in all the nations of the world? Hospitals, orphanages, food banks, radio ministry, TV ministry, Christian tracts, Christians books, even Bibles... it all costs money!

No wonder God promised, "Blessings and prosperity will be YOURS!"

A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord

JesusRomans 10:9 NLT:  "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.

PRAYER:  "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior.  I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead.  This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life!  Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love.  Jesus, you are the Son of God!  From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me.  I surrender myself to God.  I am now Yours.  Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart.  Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home.  I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me!  Amen."

Wow!  When nearly 70 people are showing up for morning prayer each day at 6:00 AM at the church and praying with fire and authority, weeping, shouting, pacing, and laying prostrate before the Lord, I'd say revival is in the air and we're on the verge of a fresh move of God in Huntsville and America!  That's what's happening right now every day at Word of Truth!  In history, the precursor to true and sustained revival has always been intense corporate prayer.  Come join this chariot at 6:00 AM through Monday, 26 July, no matter your church affiliation! ...Pastor Dan Cheatham, Associate Pastor

I've served in churches with thousands of members and I have never seen this many people show out for early morning prayer in any of them.  What's happening here is a supernatural God-thing!  Glory is in the house!  ...Pastor Terry Bennett, Youth Pastor
