Psalm 123:4
Amplified Bible
"Our life is exceedingly
filled with the scorning and scoffing of those who are at ease and with
the
contempt of the proud (irresponsible tyrants who disregard God's law)."

| Thought 4 Today |
The proud are described here
as irresponsible tyrants who disregard God's law. Every human being is
responsible to God, to acknowledge His laws. As Christians our assignment and
responsibility is to advance God's Kingdom in the earth and in every realm and
strata of society. We are not called to be Democrats or Republicans. We are
called to be sons and daughters of God in a dark humanistic, atheistic, secular
world. We are to bring about God's love and salvation, and also His laws and
principles. We are a principled people! And, our principles are not the
principles of our race, neighborhoods, families, or pocket books. Our
principles are the laws of God as revealed in Holy Scripture. Let us not forget that we
believers are called, "A holy nation." 1 Peter 2:9. Actually that is somewhat of a
misnomer. The Greek word for nation is actually, "Ethnos." Our English word,
"Ethnicity" comes from this Greek word. The Scripture is really saying that we
believers comprise a new and holy ethnicity in and of itself! That's why the
Amplified Bible translates 1 Peter 2:9 this way, "But you are a chosen race...". That's
right, Christianity, where old things have passed away and all things have
become new, is a brand new race of people in the earth! Your viewpoints and opinions
on everything should come out of your new race, not out of your old one. "Thy Kingdom come, thy will
be done, on earth as it is in heaven!"

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
