"He will not allow..."

| Thought 4 Today |
Most catastrophes are
explained, even by many Christians, as things that God has sent or things that God has
allowed. But a careful study of Scripture will reveal that most catastrophes
are things that we have allowed. Christians have been placed into this world with spiritual weapons. We are armed with
the Name of Jesus and His Divine Authority, and we're called to watch and pray. It's
our own neglect of watchfulness and prayer, and failure to use our God-given authority that allows
many bad things to happen to us. In other words, we allow snakes into our
garden, just like Adam allowed the serpent into his. When God gave Adam his
assignment, Adam was told to work his garden and subdue the earth. That's really the same
assignment each of us has today. You have authority over your garden! God
gave you that authority. So if bad stuff sneaks into your garden, it's not God
who has allowed it. You have! Thirty years ago my wife was
driving down the road with our two small children, when suddenly she had a "vision" of her
car turned upside down on the side of the road, with all of them dead.
Instantly, and aloud in prayer, she took authority over Satan and this false vision he was trying to deceive her into accepting. She arrived safely at her
destination. An hour or so later, someone knocked on the door of the house where she
was visiting. They pounded frantically. Upon answering the door they found out
that there had been a wreck on the very same road. They rushed to the spot and found a
car turned upside down and everyone in it dead. Satan had first planned to do this to my wife and kids, but his plans were blocked! Using her authority, and the name of Jesus on her lips, saved her life that day... and the lives of our two children! Don't tell me that it
doesn't matter if you go to church, or where you go to church! The teaching you receive can save your life and the lives of your children! The teaching you miss
can cost you your life and the lives of your children!

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
