| Thought 4 Today |
Our relationship with the
Lord Jesus is one of grace and faith. It is not one of works or struggling to
be liked, accepted, and loved. This is not the case with all of our other human
relationships. Our relationship with Jesus is on a completely different level
and is unique, special, and a one of a kind relationship. All relationships with our
fellow man require work and effort. You have to make a deposit in people before
you can expect anything in return. Each relationship is like a bank. You have
to put something in, in order to get something out. And, the more you put in,
the more you can be given, out of that relationship. The Scripture above
teaches us that we must sow friendliness in order to reap friendship. It is
totally unrealistic to think that people are automatically going to be your
friend without you making some kind of contribution to the relationship bank.
Relationships, all relationships require effort, work, energy, forgiveness, and
more work. And, even then, you may feel that you are putting more into a
relationship than you are receiving from it. That happens to all of us. When
that happens, don't get bitter or angry, and don't take it personally. Keep
showing yourself friendly to others and God will connect you to the people who
are right for you.

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
