Matthew 5:9 The
Message Bible - "You're blessed when
you can show people how to co-operate instead of compete or fight.
That's when
you discover who you really are, and your place in God's family." We've all been there. We've
all been put in the middle. It's a terrible place to be. Person A and Person B
have a problem with each other and each are talking to you about the other. Each want you to take their side and agree with them in their
struggle with the other person. Both are trying to recruit you and find
validation in their negative viewpoint of the other party. Problem is, you like
both Person A and Person B, and you don't have a problem with either of them. In
fact, you consider both to be friends. This is the perfect opportunity to be a
peacemaker, but be careful. Most of the time the person in the middle comes out
looking bad and being blamed in some way. Despite your right motives and your
best efforts, it all comes back to bite YOU. I've discovered that when
Person A talks to you about Person B, or vice versa, and you remain silent,
people misinterpret your silence as agreement. So, be careful with your silence. And, I have learned to do
this. If Person A tells you 99 negative things and 1 positive thing about
Person B, I always report the one positive thing that was said, and I refuse to
report any of the negative. This is an excellent way to build good will between
opponents. Peacemaking should be our
very nature. But, peacemaking is hard work. No wonder the peacemakers will be
called sons of God!

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
