| Thought 4 Today |
There are two kinds of
people in regards to anger. One person gets angry and outwardly explodes. The
other person gets angry and inwardly stews. Of the two, the latter is the most
dangerous. The person who quickly explodes tends to get the anger out of their
system. The other harbors suppressed anger. That suppressed anger can build up for
years and years, either making the person sick, or exploding in a much more
dangerous way later on in life. Many people who fret deny being angry. Because
they don't explode with anger, they are of the opinion that they aren't angry,
or they feel that they have their anger under control. Fretting is anger that stews
inwardly. This anger starts controlling our minds and thoughts and makes us
think of the hurt, offense, or injustice that was done to us. Fretting also
causes us to frequently re-live these negative events and feel the pain all over
again. Fretting eats away at your mind and body. It can, with time, produce a
number of mental and physical diseases. No wonder God tells us, "Do not fret!"
That one command from the Lord is given to us to save our lives! In fact, I
have learned that most everything, if not everything, God tells us is in order
to save our lives! Besides being a threat to
our physical well-being, fretting robs us of much mental and soul peace. You
can't have peace and be one who frets. Fretting is another bad mental habit
that needs to be broken in our lives! Let's obey God and fret not!

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
