| Thought 4 Today |
Noah is not accustomed to
travel. No, not Noah the Biblical hero. Noah, my five-year-old dog. He lay in
his master's arms for nearly 400 miles shaking with anxiety and panting. He
erroneously thought that he was headed to the vet because every time we put him
into the car that is his usual destination. Noah was loved and safe and was
actually headed for a vacation. He was being saved from the kennel. He didn't
know what I knew. His lack of knowledge and trust made for a stressful day. I couldn't help but think
that what Noah was experiencing was what we Christians go through so many
times. We lay in our Master's arms loved and safe but because we don't know our
destination we get full of stress and anxious care. The Master knows where we
are headed and where we will end up, even when we don't. And, because our
Master loves us and is good He will never take us to a bad destination. Our minds play cruel tricks
on us and convince us that we are headed to some dreadful place. The truth is
that God is saving us from a dreadful place! If only we could trust Him,
realizing that we are lying across His big, loving, and everlasting arms!

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
