This Scripture makes me
wonder how many times we may have seen the Lord, but didn't know it. Consider
these things. 1 The pure in heart will see
God. (Matthew 5:8) We assume that Jesus is talking about seeing God in Heaven, but
He doesn't say that. That is just something we read into the verse. 2 Jacob, when traveling laid
down in a certain place to sleep and had the dream of the ladder that went into
Heaven. Upon awakening he said, "Surely the Lord is in this place and I did not
know it." (Genesis.28:16) 3 Hebrews 13:2 tells us that
some of us have entertained angels without knowing it. 4. In Revelation.3:18 God admonishes
us to anoint our eyes with His eye salve so that we can see. I bet that each one of you
has a story of someone who suddenly showed up at the moment when you needed
help or aid. What would the Lord or an angel look like? They would look just
like the average person that you pass on the street or sidewalk. That's what
the young man looked like on the sidewalk in Sarasota, Florida as he passed me and
smiled with a smile that I can remember even to this day. I turned about to
look at him again, but there was nobody in sight. My friend, you are not
nearly as alone as you may think! Let's all pray, "Open my eyes Lord, I
want to see Jesus!"

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
