Psalm 118:17 Amplified Bible "I shall not die but live..."
|
| Thought 4 Today |
You have to make the
decision as to whether you live or die. It is not all up to God. A great amount
of it is up to you. Do you remember when Paul was discussing his internal conflict
concerning his desire to depart this life and be with the Lord, and his desire
to stay here and continue his work? He said, "Yet, what shall I choose."
(Phil.1:22) If you don't choose, Satan will be glad to make the decision for
you. Probably every one of us has
had some type of experience with a loved one or friend who has lost the will to
live. When a person loses the will to live they have made the decision to leave. There are many troubles that
can make a human being want to give up. The pain of a divorce can be so bad
that you want to die. The loss of your job and income can be emotionally, not
to mention, financially, devastating. The loss of a loved one can be
unbearable. A problem with a child can cut right to the heart. Resurrection is life AFTER!
There is life after divorce. There is life after the loss of the job. There is
life after a loved one has departed. There is life after all trouble and pain. That's
why you must live and make the decision to live! Something dear and someone
precious may have left your life, but that doesn't mean that you have to die.
It's up to you! Have the faith to believe that there is life, wonderful life,
AFTER. Declare as the Psalmist did, "I shall live and not die!!!" Choose life!
(Deut.30:19)

| A Prayer To Receive Jesus Christ As Your Lord |
Romans 10:9 NLT: "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life by your own personal invitation and declaration, and by believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.
PRAYER: "Jesus, I invite you to be my personal Lord and Savior. I believe You died for my sins and that God has raised You from the dead. This very moment I declare aloud with my own mouth that You are Lord of my life! Thank you for Your forgiveness and your unconditional love. Jesus, you are the Son of God! From this moment forward I determine to live for You because You died for me. I surrender myself to God. I am now Yours. Thank you for saving me and making me a brand new person deep within my heart. Thank You for this new beginning and the assurance of heaven being my eternal home. I love You, Lord Jesus, because You first loved me! Amen." |
