The key to balancing moisture in the skin at this time of year is to stay hydrated and apply moisture to the skin to keep the symptoms of dry skin at bay. Whether it is for pigmentation or wrinkles, masks are very beneficial for addressing your particular concern. Masks help maintain and increase the benefits you receive from your facials. Once or twice a week a mask can greatly help achieve the results you are desiring for your skin.
The best way to use your mask is in the shower. After cleansing apply to the face, neck, and decollate. Continue with your shower and before you exit simply rinse off. The steam from the shower will further activate the mask. Not as time consuming as you would think and your skin will love it.

Getting to know your: Quadratus Lumborum

The Quadratus Lumborum (QL) originates at the posterior iliac crest and has several insertions including the last rib and the transverse processes of the first through fourth lumbar verebrae. It would seem that is the deepest muscle of the low back, but it is actually an abdominal muscle. The work the QL includes laterally tilting the pelvis, laterally flexing the vertebral column to the same side and to assist to extend the vertebral column and to fix the last rib during inhalation and forced exhalation..
The lateral edge of the muscle is accessible from the side of the torso. |
