We are now only 17 days away for the opportunity to bring honesty, integrity and professionalism to the Sheriff's Office. and boy, is time for that!
I can't underscore those three words enough:
Honesty, Integrity and Professionalism
Unfortunately, my opponent has resorted to deception and flat out dishonesty during his campaign recently as he has made false claims on his Facebook page about earning various endorsements that are frankly, just not true.
Earlier, he had made claims to have endorsements from the local AFSCME Unions that were blatantly false and he has since had to pull from his Facebook page. Yet he continues to do more of the same.
Just this week, he claims to have the endorsement of the AIRLINE PILOTS ASSOC and before he could get called to the carpet on that claim and quickly pull it from his page as he had do to with others, we documented it below with a comment posted by a very reputable, dues paying member of that organization.
So there you have it. And yet another false claim with the Trumbull Postal Workers.
Well enough of that and on to more positive news. In case you may have missed it this week, our TV spots have hit the air waves and now our message is getting out there loud and clear.

Accountability
I will follow the law - this is not optional and should not have to be negotiated with the sheriff. I believe this is the primary duty of any law enforcement officer and particularly the chief law enforcement officer of the county. I will seek to identify the best practices from around the country and the world, that can effectively work within the sheriff's office. "This is how we've always done it" will be discarded from the Sheriff's Office vocabulary.
Building Relationships With Other Officials
As Sheriff of Trumbull County, I will do everything in my power to establish and maintain a good working relationship with other government officials. The office of the sheriff can only reach its goals by fostering that relationship with the court. I will work with all other law enforcement officials, the District Attorney and the Judiciary to see that our goals and objectives can be met.
My Vision For The Trumbull County Sheriff's Office
My vision for the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office is for a professional, well trained and highly motivated law enforcement organization. There is a belief among some in law enforcement that it is "us" (police) vs. "them" (public). The truth of it is that this only works well when there is a partnership between the police and the public that it serves. I will bring, through action, a partnering concept to the office. The sheriff's office exists to serve and protect the citizens of the county, and we must be responsive to the needs of the community.

 Our signs have been going up and we need to make sure we get as many out there as possible, so please begin asking your friends for their support as well.
The sign has been updated to included the UAW-CAP Endorsement.

And if you're not sure what that code graphic is on the bottom right, they are called QR (Quick Response) codes and can be easily snapped as a picture on your smart phone. But instead of just having the picture, your phone will immediately take you to our web site.
My staff tells me this is a good thing and will help our campaign. I guess these codes are gaining more and more popularity and if someone walking by your car, while parked at the mall or grocery store, see's it, then there's a very good chance they will recognize what it is, scan it, and learn about our quest to bring honesty, integrity and professionalism to the Sheriff's office. And they can join us!
