| Q. What is the latest in lifting and moving equipment? |
A. The Latest in Moving and Lifting Equipment: Maxon Lift Corp. has introduced what it says is the first North American-made cantilever liftgate. The GPC is offered in a variety of platform sizes, in both steel and aluminum, for a wide range of bed-height requirements. It features stainless steel pins, low-maintenance bushings and grease fittings on all pivot points, a heavy-duty motor with thermal protection, lock valves on all cylinders, optional dual cart stops and bolt-on installation plates for quick installation. Training a Vending Technician |
Training is important to any well-run business, but in vending, where maintenance is done far from the shop, training is critical.
Now you can have a comprehensive technicians training program in-house at a very low cost. One of the best features of this program is that you don't have to send your employees away for training. All manuals and certification exams are designed to be studied and given in-house.
This training program is divided into two levels, Level I and II. Level I is the introduction to the vending industry and vending machines. The "Job Fundamentals Manual" discusses being a professional technician; common hand tools; basic soldering techniques; machine moving; minor repairs and maintenance; coin mechanisms and bill validators; pressurized gas cylinders; sanitation fundamental and security practices.
After completing the "Job Fundamentals Manual" and successfully passing an examination, a technician is awarded a Certificate and a patch as a Vending Technician. (show patch)
Level II - Refrigeration and Electrical/Electronics. After completing Level I a Vending Technician will add to their skills by working on refrigeration and electrical/electronics for vending machines which consists of two manuals.
The "Refrigeration Manual" covers the science of refrigeration in 4 chapters, system components in 6 chapters and troubleshooting in 8 chapters. Once again, after successfully passing an examination, a technician is awarded a Certificate. However, a Journeyman patch is not awarded until the Electrical/Electronics part of the program has been completed.
The "Electrical/Electronics Manual" covers basic electrical principles; Ohm's Law; wiring devices; switches and controls; coils, relays, solenoids, capacitors, transformers and rectifiers; resistors; electronics and semiconductors; electric motors; heaters; electrodes; electrical test equipment and trouble-shooting vending schematics. After successful completion of an examination, a technician is awarded a Certificate. With successful completion of both refrigeration and electrical examinations, a Journeyman Technician patch is then awarded.
Well trained vending repair technicians will result in improved time per service call; fewer customer complaints and refunds; fewer repeat service calls; lower equipment maintenance costs; improved employee morale and reduced employee turnover.
Enroll your technicians in this NAMA training program today.
