| Q. Tax Deduction- for out of date items? |
Q.The question:
Subj: RE: tax deduction of out of date items - I have a question about items that go out of date on there shelf life. I have a vending machine in which do have some items that reach the end of their expiration date. Can I write this off as a tax deduction?
A. FROM OUR CPA:
You write off the cost of the product when it is no longer in inventory. Cost of goods minus ending inventory is what you deduct as the product sells. If it is thrown away, it is no longer in ending inventory, so you are deducting the cost of the product. No additional deduction for what it would have sold for and you are not claiming the income it didn't produce.

| Q. Where can I find New Locations for OCS? |
A.OCS - Office Coffee Service, how to find new locations for you office coffee service company...
1) Finding locations can be found by knocking on companies doors - the old fashioned way. Which still works, but is a costly with gas prices consistently going up.
2) Contacting the locators listed on this webpage and ask them their rates for OCS locations. They usually find the locations via telemarketing, Some of the locating companies will go in person to find locations for you, for a higher price. You can check out any company on www.BBB.org and www.FTC.gov to see if any good or bad reports have been posted online before doing business with any company.
3) Use an online OCS locating service such as www.officecoffee.com, with this online services you would usually pay per lead that comes in, in your area.
4) Place an ad on The OCS Directory in the area of your choice. Business Locations will call you directly to have your Office Coffee Service in their place of business for Only $25 per month.
