Joe Patton for Representative FYI

Government gone wild

Up to now the prize for the most useless state government regulation went to the Boxing Commission. (Yes, I know, you didn't even know we had a Boxing Commission. Well, we do.) Not long ago the Boxing Commission adopted rules and regulations including, believe it or not, a regulation that required the time keeper to ring the bell after each round. (Like perhaps the time keeper wouldn't already know to ring the bell!)

However now the Boxing Commission is in second place. The new first place winner is the new Home Inspector Board for their new proposed regulation that home inspectors in Kansas do not need to inspect "sea walls". No joke. <sigh>
