I'd rather eat bugs, than do drugs ...
I was working in my office the night of our Choosing To Be Free" orientation class and a little girl's voice just outside my office chimes in and says, "Miss Lisa, would it be all right if I write on the chalkboard?" I looked up and realized that it must be a child of one of the parents who has come to the Thursday night class. Of course, I said and didn't give it too much thought. I went back to what I was working on. I could hear her singing, as she evidently was content to express herself through her writing. I didn't notice what she had written on the board until the next day and what I read stopped me in my tracks. She was a very smart girl who had a message to tell. Here is what she wrote exactly as she wrote it:
Drugs
One drug is too many drugs. They can mess with your brain, heart, and even your entire body. It is a unhealthy thing and it has smoke that can kill the environment. It is not only drugs, it is also cigorettes, and achole. Cigorettes are a bad habit. They come in handy when you want to die. Cigorettes is also known as cancer sticks in a box. They are not the only bad habbit, death enviction, and environment killer. Cigorettes can be known as a drug also. Achole is another bad habit, death evinction and environment killer It messes with your whole body also. Achole can be known as kidney killers in a bottle. Achole can also be known as a addictied drug. Drugs, Achole and cigorettes are 3 most known to man, bad habits that can kill you. Stay a healthier you I know you can.
Saying - I'd rather eat bugs, than do drugs.

Spring Ahead but Don't Fall Back
"Spring at last," is the census at the Hancox house. This is the time of the year the cold weather is behind us, and we can look forward to warmer days. We are blessed to take in God's workmanship as we witness an array of colors from the plants He created. It is like God has sprung life into all of nature around us. This is much like the way God gave me life. Not only did He give me life in the beginning, but He also restored my life. I remember lying dormant and not showing much sign of life for I had no purpose. I was a walking dead man because I was spiritually dead and knew not God. But by His saving grace and His mighty hand he reached down and gave me new life. I have a spring in my step and a song in my heart nowadays, which is a far cry from the man I use to be. God took a man who was selfish, self-centered, and always >>Read more |
Have we helped you or your family member?
If so you might consider helping someone else in the same way...
Believe it or not EVERY bit helps. We put your small donation to work as well as your larger donation. Every week we are providing hope for families, counseling and training for our students in biblical principles on how to live free from the sin of addiction. Consider this...if we had 2,010 of our friends donate $10 each month by using our online re-ocurring donation option, then we could cover 90% of our operational expenses for the year. Help us reach our
goal of 2,010 people!
