30th Annual JJC Alumni Brunch - June 12

 

JJC alumni, retirees, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to attend the 30th Annual JJC Alumni Brunch on Sunday, June 12 at 11:00 am, in the Renaissance Center Grand Ballroom, 214 North Ottawa Street, in Joliet. Cost is $30 per person.

This year, the Alumni Brunch will celebrate class reunions for the years 1961, 1971 and 1981.

JJC Campus Center Relocation

 New Campus Center

 

On June 17, 2011, Joliet Junior College will begin moving into the new Campus Center on the southeast corner of Main Campus.

 

This will involve 26 departments and over 200 employees from three separate buildings moving to 115,000 square feet of newly constructed space on three floors. 

  
Nursing Program Celebrates 40 Years  

 

The JJC Nursing Program celebrates the 40th anniversary of its first graduating class this year and marked the occasion with an open house May 19 on the Main Campus Bridge.

JJC Police Members Receive Patriot Award

 

Members of the JJC Police Department were honored with a Patriot Award April 27 in recognition of their support in the workplace for the National Guard or reservists.
  
Chief Pete Comanda, Commander Mel Cornelius, Sergeant Jeff Smith and Communications operator Jean Smith were nominated by Aleksandra Lenart, JJC communications operator, for the Patriot Award given by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESRG) organization.
  

 

 
JJC Men's Baseball Takes 6th Place  

 

The Joliet Junior College baseball team landed 6th place at the NJCAA Division III World Series in Tyler, Texas late last month.
