Chairman's Corner - Launching First Tuesdays @ the MeckGOP

In 24 weeks Mecklenburg County voters begin voting in races to determine the future of our schools and Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill & Pineville. In 2009, only 21% of voters turned out for these races that deeply impact the quality of life in our community.

In 70 weeks, the DNC will blow in to Charlotte (expect the MeckGOP to have a very special welcome). In 77 weeks, you'll have your first opportunity to cast a vote against Obama's and Perdue's re-election, and in 79 weeks we will learn if we did enough to correct Mecklenburg County's, North Carolina's and America's course for the sake of our children and our grandchildren.

Folks, we have a lot to do and not much time. Since the MeckGOP Convention 6 weeks ago, we have hit the ground running on a multitude of fronts.

Fundraising ... We've hosted a successful fundraiser with Congressman Mick Mulvaney;
Messaging ... We've issued 5 press releases on a variety of local, state and national topics, hosted a press conference with Congressman Mulvaney and appeared on two local television programs;
Campaigns & Elections ... We've launched an effort to actively recruit the strongest candidates possible for 2011;
Organizing ... We've launched a series of district-wide grassroots officer meetings across the County and are in the midst of hosting a series of Precinct Officer training classes at the MeckGOP HQ.

Even still, there is sooooooooo much more to be done if the MeckGOP is going to be able to build the organization necessary to successfully combat the Billion Dollar Obama Re-election Machine.

#1 Make plans to attend the inaugural First Tuesdays @ the MeckGOP event at 7pm on Tuesday, May 3rd (and thereafter every first Tuesday of each month) at 1515 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 111, Charlotte, NC. First Tuesdays will give you an opportunity to meet MeckGOP leaders, and learn how you can better plug-in to the MeckGOP in our neighborhood, at the headquarters and across the county.

#2 Donate $12 or $20.12 TODAY to make sure that the MeckGOP has the resources necessary to build an organization that can get our message out against the Billion Dollar Obama Re-election Machine.
