Tomorrow is election day and we need a big finish. If you have already voted, thank you for helping to make our Race to the Polls early voting initiative a success.

If you have not voted, please go vote tomorrow and support the excellent slate of Republican candidates and conservative judges that are on your ballot (click here to download your MeckGOP Voter Guide).

Small sacrifices by each of us will make the difference. Much greater sacrifices have been made. My grandfather (for whom I was named) died on July 4th of this year. He was of that greatest generation; he fought in World War II and was willing to risk his life to protect freedom for future generations.

 More recently, Clayton Kendrick-Holmes, my wife's first cousin and a football coach at SUNY-Maritime in the Bronx, was called by the reserves to go to Afghanistan. He is leaving his wife and two young boys at home to protect freedom for all of the next generation in our country. (NBC news did a recent special report on Clayton's story - click here to view ).

When I think of these greater sacrifices, my final requests for election day are small--go vote, encourage others to do so by calls or emails, put up yard signs and distribute voter guides--these small sacrifices are ones that each of us can make today and tomorrow to help ensure a freer and more prosperous country. I ask that you join me in making the sacrifice.

It is not ours by inheritance; it must fought for and defended constantly by each generation for it only comes once to a people.
