Greetings!
In an effort to provide brief & timely information about happenings involving the Heartland Model research, we have three items to share. The first is that we have had many calls about availability of seats for the June tour with Rod Meldrum and Alan & Suzanne Osmond, second we have depleted our entire stock of the new picture books and have ordered a 2nd printing, and third we wanted to give you a preview of the upcoming LDSLiving newsletter and magazine.
We are keeping these emails shorter with more timely information and appreciate your taking the time to look them over.
Finally, we recently returned from our southern Utah presentations and must report that they went very well with more attendees and information than any previous trips...even though we had very short notice. We thank all those who attended and hope they enjoyed the information as much as we enjoyed sharing it.
this email!
There are so many exciting new evidences and opportunities to further explore the Book of Mormon in America's Heartland.

On this, our very first tour focused specifically on Book of Mormon history! You will visit known sites of the Book of Mormon such as Zelph's Mound, as well as see Book of Mormon correlations such as metal headplates, breastplates, ditches and earth embankments just as Moroni described on the gold plates. You'll visit sacred sites with Hebrew symbolism which were built using Egyptian measurements and oriented to lunar alignments - which would be natural for Jewish people living the laws of Moses as were the Nephites.

Update on Picture Book Reprinting
|
We would like to thank you for your overwhelming support in making the first printing of Exploring the Book of Mormon in America's Heartland such a success. All 5,000 copies have been purchased in the past 8 months and the second printing will not arrive until mid June. The new retail price will be $39.95, up $5 from the first printing, however we will be honoring the current pricing of $34.95 on second edition pre-orders and will ship them as soon as they arrive. The second edition is exactly the same as the first with the exception of the back cover ISBN & new pricing. There have been no reported misspellings or edits that needed to be made, which is a testament to the dedication and skill of the more than 20 editors who reviewed the original manuscript. A hearty THANK YOU to all of you who have helped to make this one of the most sought after LDS books in this arena in years.

While we are out of books until the new shipment arrives, some of the following stores may still have inventory available. The Costco stores quickly sold through their first orders and the manager of the Costco in St. George, Utah told our publisher that half of their allotment of books were purchased within the first 24 hours!

FIRMly Defending the Heartland by Rod L. Meldrum
|
LDSLiving magazine is running an article in their newsletter email regarding the Heartland Model geography! The text, along with pictures and links, share some of the latest research about the overwhelming evidences being found in America's Heartland. We determined to highlight the Bat Creek Stone and the Phoenicia Expedition for this LDSLiving email.
Below is the text and pictures from LDSLiving's email...

News Flash...First Scientific Confirmation of Hebrew in the Americas
A stone inscribed with ancient Hebrew script has been recovered by the Smithsonian Institution during an official archaeological dig. It recently underwent scientific analysis by American Petrographic Services of St. Paul, MN providing the first scientifically verified evidence of the Hebrew language dating into Book of Mormon time frames in the Americas! Read the full article, Hebrew Written Language CONFIRMED in Hopewell Mound in Tennessee! Every LDS member should know about this astounding new evidence of the Book of Mormon. Learn why Fox News host Glenn Beck exclaimed I was blown away by this research. Watch it on clip #24 of our VIDEO GALLERY.

Lehi's Ocean Voyage Demonstrated by Replica 600 B.C.
(Lehi Era) Ship
A recent History Channel documentary, Who Really Discovered America investigated the Book of Mormon account of Lehi's voyage to the New World. Unfortunately, the show's producers were mislead by speculation that Lehi's route took him to the western shores of Mesoamerica. Oceanographers used sophisticated ocean current data to demonstrate that a voyage from the Saudi Arabian peninsula to Mesoamerica would require 580 days, nearly two years, which lead them to conclude that while a ship could make such a journey, it would arrive with dead people because of the impossibility of storing enough water and food for such an extended duration.
In stark contrast to this unsubstantiated route, which is used to promote speculative Mesoamerican theories of the Book of Mormon, a recently completed voyage in a 600 B.C. (Lehi era) replica Phoenician (Israelite) ship has now conclusively demonstrated Lehi's ocean voyage and route! These non-Mormon explorers sailed around Africa to North America in less than six months! Explore more about this incredible expedition and how the new Heartland model geography is providing unprecedented evidence in defense of the Book of Mormon by reading Lehi's Voyage Demonstrated: The Phoenicia Expedition! on the FIRM Foundation website. See the ships construction and voyage on clips #16-23 of our VIDEO GALLERY.

An Everlasting Decree:
Ensuring A Title To Liberty For the Promised Land
by Bruce H. Porter!
|
|
Some say that it doesn't matter where the Book of Mormon took place. However, if the Promised Land cannot be identified, then the associated restrictions, blessings, and responsibilities can also not be realized, nor can the prophecies and promises in the text become a moving force, as hoped for by the prophets who speak out of the dust. The location of the Promised Land is significant and necessary for the spiritual security and temporal salvation of those who would dwell upon the land.
This is the followup book to Prophesies & Promises with answers to our Mesoamerica based critics.
