Scrapcessories Scrap Caddy A Storage Solution for Any Crafter
Heard of a scrap caddy? It's a clear plastic storage box that has several uses, but is perfect for storing all those Cricut cartridges that don't come in boxes. (Solutions, Seasonal, and Limited Edition cartridges) I get a lot of questions about how these work, so here's the scoop.
Scrap Caddy Retail Price: $29.95
Sale Price: $16.84
1)The caddy comes with one insert and two little holders. You use the double sided tape (included) and stick one holder to each side of the caddy. Then you slide the insert into the holders. This insert holds 8 cartridges. But why is there is so much room left in the caddy? Well, many people like to store their handbooks and overlays in that extra space. OR you can buy up to 4 more inserts (for a total of 5 with the one that is included with the caddy) to hold up to 40 cartridges! That's in 1 caddy! Of course, by doing this, there would not be extra space in the caddy for anything else, but you could always designate another caddy just for accessories. 2)Want even more cartridges stored in your caddy? Then you will want the multi-rail insert. It comes with one insert and a holder that is designed to maximize the efficiency of the caddy and allows you to get 6 inserts in one caddy. Let me do the math for you... that's a 48 cartridge maximum capacity in ONE caddy with the multi-rail insert!
3)Don't use Cricut cartridges? Toss the insert aside, and use the caddy for adhesives, ribbons, brads, and all the other things you need to keep organized.
Try cutting vinyl or fabric words and shapes to label and customize each caddy? Every crafter can find a use for them, and they can be uniquely yours! ~Bobbi Jo

The Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family Program
Working at Craft-e-Corner is like Christmas every day. Who wouldn't love being surrounded by Cricut Machines... Silhouette Machines... and accessories galore?! It really is a dream. However, one of my favorite parts about working here is how generous our owners are. Dean and Carrie, husband and wife, are active members of our local community, but also help national and worldwide charities throughout the entire year. This holiday season, Craft-e-Corner is honored to be part of the Salvation Army's Adopt-a-Family program.
I couldn't raise my hand fast enough to take charge of this month's charity event. I had heard about this program and it always brings tears to my eyes thinking about it. Can you imagine not being able to buy your loved ones anything for Christmas? Not even ONE thing! Or provide them with basic necessities we all take for granted... like toothpaste or deodorant! It's terrible that anyone has to deal with that, and makes me realize even more how blessed I am.

I easily found a local phone number on their website and gave our local rep Steve a call. (www.salvationarmyusa.org) Although the ability to adopt an entire family had already passed, they still needed help stocking shelves in their toy store. I learned that not all families get adopted because there are not enough volunteers to sponsor all the families who apply. Those who don't get sponsored are able to walk through the "toy store" to pick out gifts for their family. Although we really wanted to adopt a whole family, we wanted to help however we were needed. Our "assignment" was to help fulfill their need for teenage appropriate gifts. Steve said many of the donations they receive are geared toward small children, and that often there is little to choose from for older kids. So...off I went on the hunt for gifts. I must admit, trying to think like a teenager to attempt to get great gifts was challenging, but really fun. We had everyone in the office contributing ideas and trying to think "If I were a teenage girl, would I love this Justin Bieber doll?" "If I were a boy, would I rock out to this Paper Jamz guitar?" It was quite amusing.
I'm sure who ever receives our gifts will be thrilled, but not as thrilled as we are to be able to participate in such a wonderful, caring program. And I hope that those who receive our gifts can somehow feel that we bought them with a smile and lots of love. We've already signed up to adopt a family next year, and hope that our little bit of generosity can help make a difference. ~Bobbi Jo
