Newport News Green Foundation volunteer Thomas Guss is a finalist in the Cox Conserves Heroes in Hampton Roads contest and has the potential to win $5,000 for the Green Foundation! Videos featuring the finalists and their conservation projects are available online and voting is underway now at www.coxconservesheroes.com/hampton-roads-va/finalists.aspx. Cox Conserves Heroes honors unsung environmental heroes and inspires neighborhood conservation. A total of $10,000 will be donated to local environmental nonprofits. The Cox Conserves Hero will receive $5,000 and each of the remaining four finalists will receive $1,250 to donate to their environmental nonprofits of choice.
