The 51st Annual Denbigh Day Parade will be held Saturday, September 18th, and this year the Newport News Green Foundation's Executive Director, Amanda Wroten, will be honored as Grand Marshall.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on Denbigh Boulevard near the high school and afterwards an all day festival will take place at 14302 Old Courthouse Way (the former Early Childhood Education Center). Participants will line up at 8:30 a.m. at the high school and conclude at the reviewing stand on Tabbs Lane. The parade grounds include fun, kids rides, games, crafts, and vendors for all ages. Slapwater will also play for the enjoyment of all. This year's theme is the "Greening of Denbigh."
