Green Foundation Acquires New Property
The Newport News Green Foundation recently acquired a new parcel of property to further the organization's mission. The 0.38 acre site, located at 437 Harpersville Road, exists in a natural wooded state and will provide a wealth of benefits to the citizens of Newport News, including making the city more beautiful, protecting area waterways from pollution and making the city safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable.
"Acquiring a new property furthers our mission and benefits all who live, work, and play in Newport News," said Amanda Wroten, Executive Director of the Newport News Green Foundation. "This property will further our mission to make Newport News more visually attractive. Everyone loves a little green."
In all, the Newport News Green Foundation now holds 25.64 acres of property throughout the City of Newport News. A list of the foundation's properties and addresses are available online at www.newportnewsgreenfoundation.org. |
