Carpooling, Telework, and Gas Saving Tips
Help Combat Budget Busting Gas Prices
Crude oil and wholesale gasoline prices continue to move higher; causing commuters to re-think their car usage. AAA Mid-Atlantic reports that the average price of regular gasoline in New Jersey last Friday, 3/16/12, was $3.63. That's much higher than it was a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.39.
Analysts say the rising prices are mostly due to tensions in the Middle East, rising crude oil prices and market speculation, along with signs of an improving U.S. economy.
While commuters may not have much control over these outside factors, there are ways to control costs.
