Annual Report Available for Viewing Online 

 

HART's 2010- 2011 Annual Report "e-edition" is available for viewing online. The report highlights HART's efforts over the past year to promote sustainable transportation in Hunterdon County, NJ.

 

The report also includes listings of businesses, commuters, schools, and communties that were recognized with various awards by the organization at the HART Annual Meeting held at the end of July.

Two Join HART Advisory Board   

 

HART welcomes the following new members to its Advisory Board:

 

Bruce Johnson, a long time HART bicycle commuter and retired Engineer (Hunterdon County Department of Roads, Bridges and Engineering) brings a wealth of professional experience, knowledge of the County and a cyclist's perspective to HART's work.  

 

Tim Hall is the owner/brewer of The Ship Inn, Milford, NJ.  Tim represents a new wave of sustainable business owners in the county. The Ship Inn is committed purchasing meats, vegetables, and other ingredients from local farms as well as co-marketing with local businesses. Tim, who is also an avid cyclist, has been most supportive of HART's work to promote sustainability.

Flemington/Raritan Bicycle & Pedestrian Connectivity Analysis Available Online

HART is pleased to announce the" e-publication" of the recently completed "Flemington/Raritan Bicycle & Pedestrian Connectivity Analysis".  

 

The goal of the effort has been to determine the most pressing problems facing bicycle and pedestrian activity in and between the two municipalities and to identify the most effective, practical solutions to promote bicycle and pedestrian access, connectivity, and safety within and between Flemington Borough and Raritan Township.

 

Presentations have been made to both Flemington Borough and to Raritan Township.   HART is working with both municipalities to advance the report recommendations.
