Saturday, October 16 at 8:00 pm Music Director LARRY RACHLEFF and the Orchestra present an All-Beethoven Concert: Beethoven Symphony No. 6 in F major, op. 68 (Pastoral) and Symphony No. 7 in A major, op. 92.

Soprano Susan Lorette Dunn, Larry's wife, is the featured soprano.Cho-Liang Lin is the featured violinist Full Orchestra concerts, chamber concerts, solo recitals and open rehearsals, AND since many passengers are also dedicated performing musicians, if you play an instrument, bring it along! (Your singing voice is also welcome, and pianists need only bring their fingers.)
Why are we telling you about this?
Because on October 16 & Nov. 20, at the Patrons Services table in the lobby @ VMA, Philharmonic staff will be selling raffle tickets and the winner will sail away in that beautiful ocean-view stateroom! Tickets $100 each; 7 for $500. The winning ticket will be drawn by Larry following the November 20th concert. You do not need to be present to win. Applying to colleges is difficult. Applying to colleges to major or minor in music can be downright confusing. If you have questions about applying to college as a music major, minor, or non-major involved in music, then "Music and the College Admissions Process" is for you!
It is never too early to begin planning. Everyone is invited to attend! Interested music students in high school and middle school, and their parents are especially encouraged to attend.
Panel to include: Representatives from New England Conservatory, Brown, Rhode Island College , Providence College and the University of Rhode Island as well as Philharmonic Music School Faculty, Staff and Parents.

Suzuki violin students of Paulinka DeRochement will be performing in the upstairs lobby of VMA prior to Saturday Night's All Beethoven, All the Time Concert.
Students who will be playing are: Emma Berthiaume, Evan Berthiaume, Aaron Clary, Ryan Clary, Stephen Coutcher, Charlotte D'Ambra, Morgan D'Ambra, Philippa Stroud (Downey), Madeline Green, Jillian Parenteau, Isaac Pontarelli, Rebecca Smith, Emma St. Martin, Thomas Vrankar and Cashel Koski.
Also, RI Philharmonic Music School student and pianist Jonathan Coen will play during the Supper Club at the Renaissance Hotel
